About

Granola Garden was borne out of a family tradition of respect for one’s health and an adoring relationship between a girl and her grandfather.

Healthy Living

As a child growing up in Hawaii, Michelle learned about the importance of respecting the ‘aina (land) and the environment. This went hand-in-hand with respecting one’s body.

Michelle’s grandpa was a well-known executive chef, and he taught a young Michelle how to respect her body by eating wholesome, natural foods. She learned to create delectable dishes using fresh ingredients picked straight from the garden, with no preservatives or flavor enhancers. Michelle also learned to read ingredient labels at the grocery store so she could find foods that were nutritious and all-natural.

These became core values in Michelle’s family: healthy eating, caring for one’s body, and respecting the environment.

Tasty and Wholesome

Today, Michelle lives in the Bay Area, California. When the time came for her to start her own family, Michelle left her job and worked to create her own healthy, gourmet treats.

Michelle started by dabbling with organic soymilk. She created flavor after flavor, and soon, her refrigerator was stocked full with bottles of tasty soymilk products.

Next, she moved on to granola. Michelle wanted to eat healthfully, so she created a snack that was packed with energy and fiber. She chose only the best ingredients that were packed with vitamins and nutrients, and used these ingredients to experiment with a wide variety of flavors.

Visiting farmer’s markets sparked Michelle’s imagination, and soon she added muffins and biscotti to her menu. It wasn’t long before the house was overstocked. Michelle bagged her homemade, gourmet goodies and gave them away.

Granola Garden

Before she knew it, word spread and Michelle started receiving requests for more of her tasty treats. And that’s how Granola Garden was born.
